line-height: normal; font-style: normal; font-family: Times New Roman, Times, serif; letter-spacing: normal; font-size: 18px;\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 20px; font-family: book antiqua, palatino, serif;\">b) Tachyons will <strong data-start=\"2782\" data-end=\"2795\">slow down<\/strong> as their energy <strong data-start=\"2812\" data-end=\"2825\">increases<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2831\" data-end=\"2845\">accelerate<\/strong> as it decreases.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: book antiqua, palatino, serif; font-size: 20px;\">In particular, to reduce the speed of tachyons to the lower limit &#8211; <em><strong>C<\/strong><\/em>, an infinite amount of energy is required. On the other hand, when the velocity of a tachyon tends to infinity, its energy tends to zero. This prevents the violation of the general postulate stating that \u201cenergy can be transmitted only at a finite speed,\u201d since a tachyon possesses zero energy precisely for those observers to whom it appears to have infinite speed.
